Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Lucas K — 03 Aug 2012
Masterful writing. The characters are vibrant, real and engaging, and the story leaves no stone unturned... everything in the plot ties up beautifully in the end. It's not far-fetched to think that something like this actually happened, which means this movie portrays a good sense of realism.
The cast is amazing, everyone is spot on: Spacey, Crowe, Pearce, Basinger, DeVito all pretty much nail it. I don't think I have any complaints about this movie, it's pretty much flawless. It's easy to see why it's so highly regarded.
