Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Timothy M — 26 Dec 2012
Brilliant Detective film with a noir edge. It has everything you expect a film of this genre to have, interrogations, clues and violence. The plot is complex and contains enough substance to make it interesting and mysterious.
It also allows for some genuine shocks and gun fights which makes it that much more satisfying. I like how each cop was different and had a different motive for being a cop, it made the characters a lot more relatable.
Great acting by everyone, some of the most memorable performances in this movie, ultimately making one of the best from before the 2000's.
