Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Dr. F P — 19 Oct 2013
Very sleek, very Hollywood. Love the era and the cast are good too. The twists and turns were engrossing and all was not revealed too quickly for each character or the audience. I particularly liked Kevin Spacey & Danny DeVito's roles.
Guy Pearce seemed a bit wooden at times but it's hard to tell if that's him or the character considering Exley kind of has a stick up his ass. Overall this is both visually interesting and I also liked the musical score.
A great movie that has pretty much everything you'd ask of a LA crime drama!
