I watched this movie a lot as a kid with my latina friend, Susan ... she loved this movie, and whenever I was at her place, we'd watch it ... I wouldn't think this movie was good enough in the theaters, TV yeah .
.. it kinda reminded me of a spanish version of Boyz N the Hood - the mom has so much praise for the youngest son because he has so much potential in the future while the eldest son was the black sheep of the family .
.. and how young was Joe Pantoliano, like whoa ... if this movie hadn't come out, songs like La Bamba and Oh Donna would be forgetable.
