Review of La Bamba (1987) by Max — 23 Jun 2009
La Bamba is the story of 50's Rock N Roll star Ritchie Valens. Its a great movie until you hear Diamond Lou Philipe (Ritchie Valens) sing in fact its not him at all, and its not him playing the guitar, they made it obvious he's lip singing.
And theres a recording playing the guitar. But the movie gives one great knowledge of the struggle Ritchie went through to get to the top, and when that star fell. It's a good film over all I would highly reccomend it, but as long as your not emotional (spoiler alert: the ending is very sad) this movie would go great with "The Buddy Holly Story".
