Review of Kurt Cobain: About a Son (2007) by Brian M — 12 Jan 2008
This is a REAL documentary. It is documenting the interviews with Kurt Cobain, reflecting on various topics. There are no super graphics and charts and other people. It is non-commercial -- not one Nirvana song or even really glorifying the band or their effect on culture.
It doesn't dwell on things relating to the suicide. The video, I imagine is mostly shots of things around the area they are talking about, which provides an excellent setting to imagine what they are talking about, and also helps to focus the meaning of their words.
Sure it wasn't an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride, but kinda like a nice audio-book +.
