Review of Kurt Cobain: About a Son (2007) by Bob M — 25 Feb 2008
The approach is indeed interesting. But after a while, the visuals don't feel connected enough to me with the audio. What's the point of a shot of Neumo's? What does that have to do with the time and place in which Cobain existed? Also, I know it's not trying to be a History of Nirvana, but one can't help but wish it were a little more of that.
There's some interesting stuff about Cobain's feelings for Novesilic, but not so much re Grohl. Good soundtrack, tho.
