Review of Kurt Cobain: About a Son (2007) by Michael C — 30 Mar 2008
Not your typical Rockumentary, I would recommend this for anyone interested in Nirvana and Kurt's story. The audio tapes reveal a sensitive man, full of contradictions and with a strong misanthropic streak.
Contains wonderfully shot footage of Aberdeen, Olympia and Seattle. Definitely watch the director's commentary that explains the significance behind certain locations appearing in the movie that are not obvious.
Kudos to the director for making such a powerful movie from a mere stack of audio recordings.
