Review of Kurt Cobain: About a Son (2007) by Jonathan B — 16 Aug 2008
Schnack's conversion of this material into film does it nothing, the cinematography, while initially fresh grows old and worse pointless very soon, and the irrelevancy of the soundtrack only adds to this effect.
However at the core, the conversation between Michael and Kurt is almost ethereal in terms of information and emotion. So as pissed off as I am about the tiresome photojournalism, the beating heart of this film, the audio tracks, are phenomenal.
