Review of Kurt & Courtney (1998) by Dr. F P — 07 Apr 2014
This was pretty much a waste of time, all it proved is that Nick Broomfield really didn't have a clue and that Courtney Love is one scary woman. I found the interviews with the people that knew Kurt Cobain somewhat interesting, mostly awkward, but I was staring at what they decorated their homes with if i'm honest.
It was pretty much a wild goose chase, nobody wanted to say anything, the stalker people were egged on to confront Love and all they did in the end was gush over her - pathetic! The interview with the nanny was ridiculous, she hardly said two words, she couldn't string a sentence together.
This documentary seems more the type of thing crazed Nirvana fans would get together to produce, interviewing anyone who even merely glanced at Kurt Cobain before he was famous. BBC? WTF! On saying that, it did hold my interest, as much as these people had nothing to share, I found their lives intriguing from the sense of being on the fringes.
I don't think anybody will really know what happened, I think Courtney Love has a lot to answer for, not regarding some sort of implication into murder, just the fact that she's completely psychotic.
