Review of Kurt & Courtney (1998) by Eoin H — 03 May 2008
A thought provoking and ultimately entertaining documentary. However, like much of Broomfield's work, Kurt and Courtnet is overly concerned with the director driving down road after road towards an apparently aimless destination.
However, the cast of characters interviewed here are fantastic and affecting. None more so than Courtney Love's father who proves that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
The speculation, inuendo and hearsay in the film baldly point to suicide but Broomfield is sharp enough to suggest more than a thought towards murder.
