Review of Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002) by Julian T — 27 Dec 2011
Completely and totally stupid, and fantastic because of it. This is the parody that all of the incredibly stupid 'Scary Movie', 'Epic Movie', 'Date Movie' pieces of garbage wish they were. Totally strange, goofy and stupid, but it uses these things to its advantage.
Goes too far with adding CGI and its attempts to make obviously memorable scenes (the kung-fu cow, 'toungie' parts are pretty stupid) but the dialogue is just hilarious.
It shows that context is the most underrated element in todays comedy films. Simply by changing words and quotes, the context of the old kung-fu movies can be turned on its head and go from cheesy to hillarious.
