It would be a mistake to take any aspect of this movie seriously. Unbeknownst to most, Kung-Pow is not a parody of vintage martial arts films but rather of parodies themselves. Keeping that in mind, the tacky, juvenile humor transforms into biting sarcasm and genuine hilarity.
