Review of Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002) by Matt C — 22 Oct 2012
Inside the mind of Steve Oederkerk lives a ten-year-old child. I love witty satire and clever humor with at least a semi-plausible plot. But once every blue moon, I just want to kick back and let my inner child loose.
Those times call for movies like this. This, and Austin Powers. Movies with absurdly, ridiculously stupid plots, with humor that allows my brain to check-out and just revel in the lunacy. This is not a movie to be critical of.
If you are, you missed the point of it. If it's not your thing, that's fine, but don't hate it because you don't understand it. There's nothing to understand, and that's what you gotta understand.
This movie is meant for all those people who can check their brain at the door. Just keep track of those brain cells.
