Review of Kung Fury (2015) by Dorian G — 28 Oct 2015
Brilliant. The only thing holding it back is that it's only a half hour, but it probably wouldn't have worked as a full-length film. The 80s-ness is awesome, the use of film tracking and VHS errors are perfect to cover continuity issues, and the effects and action are surprisingly good. Plus it has the Hoff, who also stars in the music video for the soundtrack, which is amazing!
Originally watched drunk on YouTube with Josh in May 2015 (watched it 2 times in a row), then on Netflix at home, October 27, 2015.
