I was nine years old when this movie came out, it was like my job to get into this kind of stuff. So naturally, I really enjoyed the first one. I loved the characters, the action was a ton of fun, it was very funny, and the animation was nice to look at. But as I got older, I seem to enjoy more and more as I really got into the story. There is a very strong resemblance of the philosophy of martial arts. Before conquering your enemies, you must overcome yourself. You don't really see this kind of stuff in animated films that much or even at all. Though it's not a perfect film. There are a couple jokes that fall flat and the villain, Tai Lung, felt kind of generic to me. They also kind of went against the moral of the story. The moral is that you don't need to be a master of your craft in order to gain success, but Po ends up victorious by being kung fu master. But I'm probably over-analyzing. I still love KUNG FU PANDA and it's a great film to watch with your family.

Grade: A-.
