Review of Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) by Bradley W — 19 Jan 2016
Kung Fu Panda 2 was, to my surprise, really a great funny and action packed film. The story involves Po who is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five.
But Po's new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. Po must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins, only then will he be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed.
The plot was just pure fun for adults and kids, and that is what I love about Dreamworks and PIXAR, they make movies for all ages and keep it just great, and the characters in the film are kept the same and I was glad I got to see more of the Furious Five and a really interesting new villain, a fun time indeed.
The voice cast was great, we geat all our old actors and newcomer Gary Oldman who plays the villain Lord Shen who did a great job, I really enjoyed them. The animation was even better this time around and gave one of the most fun animated action films since The Incredibles, you really need to see the beauty in this movie.
If you have not seen the first film I would not recommend it, but other than that I seriously think anyone who enjoys fun needs to see this movie right away.
