Review of Kundun (1997) by Ryan M — 01 Jun 2010
Kundun is a film which is visually stunning, where sound, picture, colour and music are are allowed to combine together into a scope that shapes this film into absolute beauty and near perfection. An engaging insight into the life of the Dalai Lama and his stand against Chinese invasion of Tibet and a respectful and great portrait of one of the world's greatest spiritual leaders of our time.
Martin Scorsese directs this film meticulously with great sequences, great sets, great costume, great music by Philip Glass and a decent story that will keep you, if not wholeheartedly, interested throughout this whole film.
