This one's a love triangle with Rahul(Shah Rukh), Ajnali(Kajol) and Tina(Rani Mukherjee) playing the lead roles. Rahul and Anjali are best friends then Tina joins in the college. Rahul falls in love with Tina and Anjali starts feeling her love for Rahul but is not able to express it to him, so Anjali leaves the college.
Rahul and Tina gets married but Tina died due to childbirth but left eight letters for her daughter(who is named Anjali) to read on each birthday. On her eighth birthday Tina tells Anjali about Anjali, Rahul's best friend in college and how she is the one that she believes Rahul was always meant to be with.
