Going in to this film all I thought was: how will I last for three hours? But by the end that was all forgotten. The first half of the film was incredibly entertaining, although maybe not deliberately.
The acting was over the top and the dancing was interesting but there were some touching moments. However in the second half it really picked up. The film was deliberately funny while also managing to deliver a beautiful love story.
Although I think some elements of a Bollywood film (acting styles, musical style etc) can't translate 100% into Western cinema, I defy anyone to finish this film and not have the signature song "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" stuck in their head!
