Review of Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) by Vic S — 10 Sep 2016
Truly beautiful and well scripted, this is definitely not for young children. There were several at the screening and they were constantly asking questions because they didn't understand what was going on.
The end credits are worth watching and the dedication at the very end explains "two strings" -- the shamisen he plays has three strings, but the dedication is to the filmmaker's mother and father, his "two strings.
