Review of Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) by Tim M — 14 Sep 2016

Visually stunning. The film is breathless in pushing the boundaries of imagination. Unfortunately, the script and storytelling doesn't reach the emotional heights to complement its visuals. As such, it's a painstakingly and lovingly made film that I admire, but don't love.

Thanks Luke for the rec (see I do value your opinions highly and immediately gave this a go!), I'm glad I watched it, but it won't be my no. 1 of the year.
