This is probably my favourite movie so far this year. It's a classic tale of folklore set in a fantastical Japan. The animation by LAIKA studio is stunning stop motion and easily some of their best work yet.
The tale of a boy, Kubo, out to gather mystical armour to help face the moon king, voiced by Ralph Fiennes. It's all leads to Kubo's adventures, facing monsters with his new friends Monkey and Beetle.
Using his powers in his quest, it's a great romp. Well worth your time and hard earned money.
