I will own the Blu-ray on this one. I felt like a child again watching and being amazed by the European stop motion films that would find their way to American public television only times that 10. The combined production, direction, creativity and characters all to a folk story makes this a modern classic and raises the bar for all animated films.

There are far too many live action movies that fall short of two stars for me because all components fail to do what this film does and that is, cohesiveness.
