Review of Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) by Simon T — 16 Sep 2017
Breathtaking animation, so unlike most Hollywood output, telling of the unusual quest of a one-eyed Japanese orphan to discover his true parentage. He is aided by a wise female monkey and a vain Samurai beetle and has to battle several demons on the way.
This is superbly and beautifully realised and it helps too that the script is often witty and very well voiced by the eclectic cast.
