"It was OK". That's what my kids thought of it. It's slow and sad. The witches and the mythology are creepy and weird too. The children, and myself included, found the ending abrupt and confusing.
I could see the effort and artistry in the computer animation but I still didn't love the look of it. With a ridiculously high tomato meter I was expecting a new classic for the kids, but alas this is one we won't be watching again.
For those reasons the title of this review is Kubo and the Two Stars.
