Review of Kristy (2014) by Chok S — 19 Sep 2014

It's basically The Strangers film combined with You're Next and you got yourself a less terrifying result, Kristy. The film is a great FUN for those who like fast-pacing cat and mouse chase killer film as it did a great job in keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout the film.

The film is also loud and contains lots of jumpy scares which was used too often that made it quite annoying to watch sometimes. The story here is really simple with nothing twisted or surprising plus it's pretty cliche' as well.

There are also some nice kills but you won't see lots of blood or GORE here as the film's selling point to give the audience a thrilling experience in being chase and hunt down and surviving of the character rather than a gruesome revenge style.

This film will probably SCARE the shit out of you if you happened to be alone in a school campus during holidays, it's that same type of scare used in The Strangers film when you are at home alone.

Overall, this is a great creepy little horror/thriller film that's edge-of-your-seat entertaining despite its cliche', cheap scares, and lack of any surprises [C+].
