Cinematic influence and importance aside, Die Hard is a hugely entertaining action romp with plenty of eye-bulging sequences, humorous moments, and terrific performances. Aside from the intriguing premise, there's not much else to it however, so you'll mostly likely be in for a fairly shallow yet still fun ride.
