Review of Krepkiy Oreshek (1968) by Simon N — 25 Dec 2012
Die Hard is a defenitive action christmas classic that takes place in different places at the same time. The movie surprisingly takes place at christmas time when John McClane, a cop from New York is invited to a christmas party at the Nakatomi Corporation Building. There he meets his wife when they get into an arguement. All of a sudden, Terrorists enter the building and start shooting up the place taking people hostage. McClane's duty is to save the people in the building from Hans Gruber. McClane, although annoying at times as he speaks to himself is a pretty good character and he is a badass. The action scenes are twisted and creative and original for the time. This movie doesn't have anything to do with christmas except that it takes place at christmas time. But forget about that, Die Hard is a really good action film.
88/100 B+.
