Review of Krepkiy Oreshek (1968) by Brendan N — 02 Dec 2017
I caught this on the big screen and it hast lost any of the craftsmanship of the filmmaker or the charm Willis helped define his career. Rickman is perfectly cast as the villain who goes head to head with Willis in an action film that spawned endless imitations and four sequels.
The action is relentless and every scene adds more tension as McClane attempts to foil the terrorists plans. This was a defining action film that is still light years in front of most modern action films.
It does the basics right and never betrays the lead character who is attempting to save his wife. Great action film. 01-12-2017.
