Review of Krampus (2015) by Brad S — 25 Jun 2016
I really enjoyed this horror-comedy which is a throwback to the films of the 80's, "Gremlins" in particular. You can tell that writer/director Michael Dougherty("Trick 'R Treat") is a big fan of those films.
The film is stylishly made with a lot of practical effects, not just CGI. The character designs are excellent and scary. The cast is also excellent and include some big names for a small horror film including Adam Scott, Toni Collette and David Koechner.
I am a big fan of the genre and probably liked or more than most, but if you're a fan as well, then seek it out!
