Review of Krampus (2015) by Chris F — 03 Mar 2016

Krampus is an enjoyable horror comedy with not enough of each. The cast is decent. I really liked the performances from Adam Scott and Toni Collette. Everyone else was serviceable. The characters themselves aren't that likable.

I was really rooting for Krampus. The plot isn't that exciting for the first 2/3 of the film. But the last act of the film is crazy. It is sick and twisted and I loved it. I think the film would've really benefited from an R rating.

The film isn't that scary, and with the exception of what I previously mentioned, isn't that funny. This isn't another garbage horror film with cheap jump scares. This is a well made film that doesn't live up to its potential.
