Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Conor M — 30 Aug 2008
This has to be at the top of the "dad takes responsibility for his son for the first time" movies, as it pretty much set the precedent for all those similar movies that followed. this is duie in large part to the great Dustin Hoffman, in what has to be my favorite role of his career.
Meryl Streep also, as always, does a good job, even though I never sided with her character. it's at turns funny, touching, and heartbreaking, and all around moving.
