Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Michael B — 19 Feb 2010
Extremely sad for much of it and just saying that, its a testament to the polished filmmaking and seemingly ultra-realistic script. The only pts of melodrama come in the courtroom and it isn't become of lousy writing, but in an odd negative, both Hoffman and Streep are far too good as dramatic actors not to let loose with their speeches there.
Weirdly enough, I am saying that each actor is so good that they couldn't resist tearing down the courtroom with their performances there. But this film is top notch, love the elevator bookend.
