Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Sam B — 18 Jul 2010
Kramer vs. Kramer's greatest strength is painting its characters in shades of gray. No one's completely in the right or wrong, and that allows the audience to buy into the reality of the situation; a mother leaves her husband to take care of their son, only to return and seek custody.
Both Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep deliver fantastic performances in what equates to a touching movie about two imperfect people and young boy stuck in the middle of it all.
