Review of Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) by Anthony I — 22 Dec 2014
Historically turns divorce settlements on their heads. It's a really good movie. Even given the subject matter, It walks a fine line between genres and never really reaches it's potential of becoming a patronizing tear-jerker, which is a GREAT thing.
Hoffman and Streep are at their best here. I really liked the father and son scenes. It goes a little downhill once we get into the courtroom scenes... they are a little predictable.
