Oscar winning movie Kramer vs Kramer was one of the best pictures in the seventies. In this story we saw the positive and negative side of how deep a divorce could affect a life of a child. Dustin Hoffman,in a great performance,went from a happy husband and father, to a confused and frightened person who must fight for his own survival and to win the custody over his son.
He learned to be mother to his son, as well a father and to keep his career on track , when his wife left him. Meryl Streep and Hoffman were excellent. The boy actor was perfect. The movie showed that a person was capable of change, after all.
Director Benton did a great job in showing how father and son could grow closer to each other and develop a happy lifestyle.
