Review of Kontroll (2003) by Noah F — 27 Jul 2008
Intriguing, but ultimately left me flat. There is a moody H.R. Giger feel to the film, and the characters bring memories of films like Trainspotting. The resolution is a bit underwhelming and cinematically uncharged - ambiguity can be handled very well, but here it is barely noticed.
I fount the soundtrack to be a bit self-conscious, and now dated. At some point the music significantly detracted from the film, distracting.
