Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Arthur P — 05 May 2017
It's been a long while seeing an emotionally-attached soldier-hating giant ape trash those 70s helicopters and some crew. Some giant monsters seem to act alone like the buffalo with no sign of other buffalo herd family.
Those skull lizards need a lot of meat to survive on that island, reminds me of the Komodo Dragon in Attenborough's Earth Planet 2 where the dragons are the biggest lizards but not too big because meat is not much as it used to be because of changing environmental factors like the asteroid impact that struck Earth in the past and ended the dinosaur age.
Visual effects become obvious as color is reduced to orange and brown to make Skull monsters as real as possible. The female character's reaction with Kong is one of complete calmness, no panic screaming moments or angry shouts of protest - lacking attitude diversity::
