It's a well shot and acted movie with great cinematography and special effects. I really enjoyed the first and third act of the movie but the second was quite dull and just dragged out with nothing really interesting happening.
John C. Reilly's and Samuel L. Jacksons characters where pretty much the only interesting ones. You don't really get to know anything about the other main characters (Brie Larsson and Tom Hiddleston). They're just there to be there which isn't what main characters are supposed to do.
Kong looked amazing and the action was fun and enjoyable to watch.
