Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Edward%20 C — 20 May 2018

Kong Skull Island is a monster of a movie. King Kong needs no introduction, but Skull Island adds a few good changes. For one the giant ape is about ten times as large as its 1933/76/05 versions and the movie makes sure we routinely get to observe him in all its glory.

Special effects are dazzling- the scene where the mercenaries first encounter King Kong is mesmerizing, and the actors know what to expect from a film like this and go along, especially John Goodman. This is a brand-new reimagining of a story that everyone knows and yet Kong: Skull Island will leave you pleasantly surprised.
