1933's and 2005's King Kong are masterpieces, 1976's Kong is pretty bad, but this is the first one that's just... Meh. Incredibly dull characters (including the worst version of Kong yet) and barely any plot at all are compensated by it's fast pace and pretty good (but still not as good as the V.
Rex scene in 2005's Kong) action.
