Kong: Skull Island delivers on the massive ape battles and eye-popping special effects, but the character development is awful. Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson don't have much to work with. The only interesting characters are Samuel L.
Jackson and John C. Reilly's characters. The ape battles are what save this film from being a piece of trash.
