Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Stephen Y — 04 Apr 2017

An interesting and fresh take on the original classic, Kong has a lot of entertainment value. It was a definitely a fun watch, but when you look at the very strong cast, you cannot help but feel director Vogt-Roberts could have done more with them.

Compared to the original, even the last remake, Kong: Skull Island lacks an emotional moment that gives an audience a strong connection to Kong. Kong: Skull Island was a fun and safe play, perhaps too safe.
