Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Herrkapitan9 — 21 Mar 2017
Kong is the newest entry into this cinematic monster universe that is upon us and for the most part... its pretty entertaining! Sure the movie has its flaws but if you want to go to the theater and have a good time with you well deserved hotdog popcorn combo its a good choice.
Having that in mind I can tell you Kong Skull Island has a pretty cool visual style and having the setting the actual island is a very good choice that increase its adventure characteristic. They are lots of monsters, and monster fighting monsters or humans, pretty good special effects and a promise for what is to come. The down part is the writing, not much character development (hope that changes in the potential other movies) and in a way I think is overcasted! too many big names and not much time for them to shine, except for John C.
