Photographer chick was absolutely unnecessary. She throws a Zippo and kills a lizard, then somehow gets on top of a hill and as calm as a rock hits the giant monster right on the face like a bad ass. So stupid, felt I was watching Rey.
If she had been set up as a soldier and not a photographer it would have totally made sense.
