Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by John Y — 13 Jul 2018
As in ALL the iterations since the first King Kong, a warped affaire de coeur between the latest descendant of Ann Darrow (Fay Wray), in this case, Mason Weaver (Brie Larson), on top of equally exaggerated, conflicting anthropomorphistic emotions in all other characters, turns Skull Island into an orgasmic feast for misanthropes.
So that those who love to hate anything military/armed services won't feel left out, EVERY negative plot element and outcome can be blamed on the bad, horrible, evil boys and girls in uniform, and their love for anything that goes BANG!
