Review of Konfetti (2014) by Ralf W — 06 May 2008
Well,it seems the Flixster average is right for once! I've seen FAR worse but many better movies than this. I like Freeman (but not The Office!) so didn't quite know what to expect here...
What we get is a pretty good Brit comedy - nowhere near a Still Crazy, a 4 Weddings or even a Lucky Voice...but it is amusing and excrutiating in pretty much equalamounts...and- very importantly - much of the squirming is utterly intentional!
The auditions are wonderfully deadpan - the long...drawn out...yawn...preparations only occasionally funny - but the weddings (when they finally come!) are every bit worth the wait!
Your life does not depend on whether you see this or not by any means but there are a few giggles, willies and tits a-plenty and somegood music strewn here and there too! Worth a look.
