Review of Konfetti (2014) by Rebecca H — 02 Nov 2008
Confetti has some very funny ideas about three couples competing for the most original wedding, but doesn't delve into the characters nearly as much as it should. The nudists Joanna and Michael remain a visual gag, the musical couple Matt and Sam are one-dimensional nice people and the tennis couple Isabelle and Josef are not explained well enough, although they have the most potential. The best performances by far come from the gay wedding planners.
The scenes that made the final cut and the scenes left on the deleted section of the DVD are of equal or random quality, since it was all improvised anyway. If you watch it all, there is definitely a good film in there, but if you just watch the film you'll be left somewhat disappointed.
