Review of Kolya (1996) by Sajib K — 19 Jun 2009
An unusual-yet-inevitable friendship grows between a five-years Russian old kid who was left alone by her mother and a bachelor, middle-aged Czech musician who married his mother to earn some cash in return of Czech papers she needed.
Initially, trying to get rid of this "burden"; but sooner he found out that he is so drawn to the love of this child that he couldn't tear away anymore. Sometimes. a child's innocence can defies cross-country hatred, widespread corruptions, it can transform a cold man's heart against all odds.
A touching human-story on the backdrop of "Velvet Revolution".
